Booklets are most often bound with saddle-stitching, a relatively simple method in which the printed material is lightly folded to form a spine. Then two or three staples are inserted down the spine before the final fold. Also known as staple binding, this is the kind of binding most often seen in thinner magazines.

Sixty or fewer pages is ideal for saddle stitching. Larger page counts are not practical, as the folded booklet will not lay flat and require increased face trimming which could adversely affect the content.
